Apologies for the extra email. The date for the free program hosted by the Florida Camera Club is Tuesday, October 27th @ 6:45 PM ET

Greetings! You are cordially invited to the free webinar hosted by the Florida Camera Club Council, sponsored by Hunt's Photo and Video! To attend, email [3rdexposure@gmail.com](mailto:3rdexposure@gmail.com) with the subject "Yes - Color, Contrast, Lighting, and Composition" to receive the Zoom link.

Program Description:
Photography is a complex art form that transcends the mere act of pointing a camera at a scene and pressing the shutter release. It requires a thoughtful consideration of the myriad components within the viewfinder frame, as each element plays a crucial role in shaping the resulting image and influencing the viewer’s experience.
Unlike painters, who start with a pristine, blank canvas, photographers often face a bustling landscape full of details, colors, and contrasts. This challenge demands a keen eye for recognizing and isolating the various graphical elements present in the scene. By mastering this skill, photographers can transform a chaotic environment into a powerful visual narrative, capturing emotions and stories in a way that resonates deeply with their audience.

I hope you can make it!

I have my eye on the forecast for this coming Friday night and am excited (ok, giddy) for our first group Astrophotography Workshop! No, you don't need a tracker for this workshop. This is all about capturing the jewels of the night like the Andromeda galaxy, Pleiades Open Star Cluster, Orion Nebula, and more with just a DSLR or mirrorless camera, 85mm, 135mm, or a 70-200mm lens. We will be past the glaring light from the Moon, so we head to Leland Wild in Norfolk, MA to learn how to find and photograph these types of objects. Registration opens on Wednesday, October 28th. If your Friday is already booked, I also offer one-on-one Astrophotography sessions. Fingers crossed the forecast holds for clear skies.

If you've checked out the open source alternatives, there have been new applications added and lots of updates to PhotoCraft and LightCraft. If you're not sure what I am talking about, check out the post below all about ArtCraft. Impressive!

We are two weeks away from Night School: AstroWizard Webinar. Thank you to all who have registered! You will received the Zoom invite on November 12th. If you haven't registered yet, registration is still open. See the link below.

Clear skies!
Silvana
