Description
This workshop is all about answering a question I hear the most in my workshops. “How did you know that?”
Planit! Pro is how I know.
There is power in planning and pre-visualizing a shot. I like to think of this as the “measure twice, cut once” approach. It saves a lot of time and minimizes the number of times a photographic quest is a disappointing bust. I won’t mention the wasted hours traveling and gas involved either.
Those of you that have attended my workshops or presentations know I have a lot of apps in my toolbox. Beyond the weather forecast apps, I have astronomical weather apps, light pollution apps, time-lapse calculators, astronomy maps, wind apps, and planning apps. Each one of these is a catalyst for my photography to be more successful. They provide insight that assists in my decision-making process. This is why I know.
Although I utilize some features of PhotoPills, I use Planit! Pro extensively for pre-visualizing a scene and planning a shot. Planit! Pro is my favorite by far. In my opinion, it is the best app for planning Milky Way, Sunrises and Sunsets, Moonrises and Moonsets, Star Trails, and so much more.
You might be using this app already but may not be utilizing its full capacity, or you have it on your mobile device and don’t know what to do with it. If you are a landscape, astrolandscape, travel, or nature photographer and have never heard of this app, you are missing out on an amazing tool that takes the guesswork out of planning a shot. This app is loaded full of photography and planning tools. Tap into the power of this fantastic app.
Do you know how to quickly determine the location of the Moon or Sun as it rises over a lighthouse or specific building? Do you know when the Milky Way will be visible and where it will be relative to your location? Do you know how cloud cover will impact your photograph?
Plan It! allows a photographer to measure twice, cut once, and achieve a successful capture.
