People often ask me why I love to teach: Photography is as superficial as it gets, each picture could be worth 1000 words, or 1000 lies. Countless talented individuals could tell you what camera settings to use and how to point and shoot to replicate photos that have been taken countless times before. Photos do more than contain stories, they are stories. I don’t have any interest in coaching for the sake of imitation. Impressing and establishing each person’s organic perspective, so they can craft the narrative they like, unique to themselves, is what I’m vested in. Scaled replication is done away with in my workshops, originality is the forefront in sweeping landscapes
